Sumie, Japanese Ink Painting, is distinctive fine art created from just a few strokes of the Chinese brush and ink. I grind my own ink in the traditional style using stone and ink block. I choose the finest papers and take delight from hand made silk & mulberry papers, and real gold and silver flecking. For me they allow just a little something distinct.

I use both traditional and interpretive techniques to create artwork, and my exclusive hand painted home accents.

Greetings Cards

My greetings cards are individually hand crafted using pieces of art, vintage, crystal and unusual beads, and decorative papers.  All individually selected to bring that special touch to your personal greetings.

I recently discovered ‘beading’ and have taken my card art to a whole new level with my hand beaded creations. I’m also really excited about this year’s card selection and hope to have a whole new range of pressed flower cards dedicated to the memory of Barbara Hackett.
